Instructors: Jairo Cardona and Dennis Stovall, LMTs, NCBTMB
These two workshops go beyond basic protocols to introduce an array of possibilities when integrating stones into your massage practice. By combining the warm/cool stones with a deep flowing massage, you will enhance your massage techniques in any modality you are trained in resulting in an extremely soothing massage session for your clients while saving the wear and tear on your hands and wrist. This class is designed to show you the benefits and contraindications of using hot/cold stones while providing full-body hands-on demonstrations; guided hands-on will help you to integrate one of the most requested spa services into your massage-therapy-routines.
You will also be shown the equipment needed, how to set up a workspace, the techniques to use, and how to use the stones safely and effectively. We recognize that all therapists have their own personal style, and our teaching method provides the tools and flexibility to create your own routine.
You will learn the metaphysical effects of Sacred stone therapy, stone placement and the use of stones during massage; each student will have the opportunity to work on one another after a protocol is demonstrated. Included is a free 1 ½ hour hot stone massage clinic for additional hands-on work practice; we the trainers will be available to assist you, and answer your questions, and evaluate your progress. We are sure that with your commitment to learn, the help of our Sacred Stone Workbook, our hands-on demonstrations and hands on practice you will gain an in depth understanding of this holistic treatment.
Stone massage is an ancient, enduring form of therapeutic bodywork using heated and cooled stones as extension of the hand. It is a harmonious collaboration of healing energies between the client, the therapist and the stones; the experience... a deep, structurally restorative and spiritually uplifting, transformational bodywork session.
Stone therapy is one of the most popular modalities today as clients discover the therapeutic benefits of heat in combination with the best hands-on methods. This form of therapeutic bodywork is in high demand in major spas and wellness centers everywhere, and is known for its deeply soothing and relaxing effects. Sacred stone therapy is a wonderful addition to your therapeutic massage practice, and can be easily integrated into any holistic modality, including Lomilomi, reflexology, aromatherapy, Swedish, deep tissue massage, shiatsu, Reiki, as well as esthetic services, such as facials, manicures and pedicures.
Prerequisite: Massage therapists, massage students and Bodyworkers
Note: These classes are designed specifically for people who have had professional training in massage therapy, and other forms of hands-on training in the healing arts, and assumes a knowledge of basic massage techniques, anatomy, medical contraindications, and hydrotherapy benefits, indications and contraindications.

Sacred Stone is much more than massage...
“Honoring that energetic balance, connecting nature with you client. I truly believe there is energy in everything and this is one way to tap into that essence and use it to free up blockages in your clients. These techniques remind me of a combination of Eastern thought and LomiLomi. The practical techniques are very flowing and spontaneous in that the intuitive self helps direct the motion. Of course, the use of forearm/elbow are stressed so as to emphasize saving one’s thumbs and can be incorporated in whatever modality one chooses. If I were to use single words for defining sacred stone they would be: open—honoring—trusting—and loving. Namaste.”
“Sacred Stone Massage for me is relaxing and calming. There is a sense of connecting with the flow of the massage. All of my insecurities, stressors and any other types of negative energy escape my body and I can become one with my client. Flowing continuously to remove impurities and negative energies. The flow of the massage feels as though the negative energy is being pushed out of the body and positive energy is being pulled back into the body. With the hot and cold stones it seems as though you are opening up more of the body and allowing it to feel more.”
“Sacred Stone Massage is very calming, smooth, relaxing, spiritual and gives me a great sense of relief from tension in the muscles.
I felt it was very invigorating, detoxifying and purifying.”
“Being a part of the massage I am giving. I can really feel the flow of the wind and water, the intensity of fire. Working with stones is a little awkward at first, but if you remember the elements we are using the purpose of the stones fits into the massage very well. This is a very relaxing massage and again you feel in oneness with the person giving you the massage. I really enjoyed the feeling of hot, cold and hot again. Thank you!”
“A better caring…
A better sharing…
Separate but together
A journey without baggage…
Hand and Stone as One”
Mahalo! Thank you for becoming part of our mission; Namaste!
